NOW FULLY LICENSED FOR RESIDENTIAL CARE CELEBRATING OUR THIRD YEAR IN OROVILLE WITH THE OPENING OF THREE MORE HOUSES, OUR FIRST FULLY LICENSED RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY, DRUG MEDI-CAL CERTIFICATION, AND "VICTORY VILLAGE" OUR PROGRAM FOR VETERANS. THE EIGHTY-PLUS PERSONS IN OUR PROGRAM HAVE COMPLETED OVER 12,000 DAYS OF CONTINUOUS SOBRIETY. Northern California Treatment Services (NCTS) provides services to persons struggling to overcome alcohol and drug dependency. We provide a full spectrum of housing and treatment opportunities necessary to break out of the vicious cycle of substance abuse, crime, incarceration and failure. With support, security and shelter, we return our clients into productive members of society. Recognizing that no program can prevail until the client is truly ready to change, our program offers a highly structured environment where there are minimal opportunities for regression. We place our clients in a controlled environment in homes in Oroville and assist them in dealing with the burden of living challenges and their integration back into society. The mission of NCTS is to successfully rehabilitate persons suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and to prevent remission through an environment that fosters recovery. We provide housing, counseling, education, basic living skills and access to spiritual values to bring about positive changes in family life, community involvement and in themselves. Our goal is to return our clients to independence from the influences of drugs and alcohol where they can function in a positive manner with their families and be contributing members of society. NCTS was started in 2001 in Marysville, CA, by Mr. Travis Philmlee. In 2008, the program was transferred to the Oroville Economic and Community Development Corporation. Mr. Eric J. Almquist, President and CEO of OECDC, restructured the program and moved its operations to Oroville, CA. With the assistance of Mr. Michael Anderson, Executive Director of NCTS, today there are thirteen houses and one four-plex used as transitional living (SLE) facilities providing treatment on an out-patient basis our fully licensed resdential care facility. Further plans include additional facilities in Butte and surrounding counties. We offer full residential care, outpatient services and intensive sober living environments. Outpatient services are offered to clients who require specialized treatment without continuous supervision. Services include treatment assessments, individual counseling sessions, specialized treatment planning, weekly drug screening, representation in the judicial system, and referral services. Our sober living environment services provide a living program with less structure, supervision and support than residential care. Clients in the SLE program must attend weekly 12-step meetings, sign in-out, complete daily chores and follow rules and procedures. Our intensive program is designed to provide maximum structure and support. In our treatment program, our clients are "blacked out" for the first 30 days to minimize any contact with former associates that might bring negative influences and allow them to focus on treatment goals. Group and individual counseling, vocational training and living skills are provided. Services including utilities and household supplies are included. We enjoy a sound business relationship with, AAIR, Butte County Behavioral Health Department and the probation and parole agencies. NCTS is a subsidiary of the Oroville Economic & Community Development Corporation (OECDC), a non- profit 501©3 corporation located in Oroville, CA. (EIN # 68-0476336).
